As I carved these sticks,
Stripping away their exterior,
Revealed were patterns, embedded in their interior,
Two sticks, imperfectly aligned,
Once were one, now two in time.
Each bearing their own scars, cracks, and bends,
Working together to make amends,
Carving them down from thick to thin,
Representing all that is within,
From a head full of life’s experiences and lessons,
Down to a heart fulfilled with life’s blessings.
These two sticks, unique but the same,
Together on this path, they will remain
